On 28 and 29 November the meeting of the Council of the European Union for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport will be held in Brussels08.11.11The session of the first day will be related to education and youth, the second day will be devoted to audiovisual issues, culture and sport. The part of the agenda devoted to education envisages the adoption by the Council of four documents: Council conclusions on language competences to enhance mobility, Council conclusions on the modernisation of higher education, Council Resolution on a renewed European agenda for adult learning and Council conclusions on a benchmark for learning mobility. Furthermore, the agenda envisages the debate of ministers of education on effective investment in education and training in a time of crisis. The part of the agenda dedicated to youth envisages the adoption by the Council of the document Council conclusions on the Eastern dimension of youth participation and mobility. Moreover, the debate of ministers on cooperation in the area of youth in the external EU dimension was planned as well as informal working lunch – in the framework of the structured dialogue with youth – of ministers for youth, ambassadors and youth representatives from Poland, Hungary, Denmark and Cyprus as well as European Youth Forum and the European Commission. |
